Elliott Broidy – A Well Known Philanthropist and Business Entrepreneur of New York

Truly a self-made man, Elliot Broidy is the CEO and Chairman of a private investment company, the Broidy Capital Management that he founded in the year 1991. He also acts as ESI Holdings, Inc’s Chairman of the Board, with the company focusing on logistics and event management. Aside from this, Mr. Broidy is serving on the Board of Directors of Vantis Capital Management LLC and Foley Timber and Land Company. He is also a registered advisor on investments and a Commissioner of the Los Angeles City Police and Police Pension Fund.

These are not his only affiliations because he also happens to be a member of the YPO or Young Presidents Organization and is serving on governing boards of various large educational and charitable organizations that include the Marshall School of Business - Center for Investment Studies of the University of Southern California, Wilshire Boulevard Temple and the Hebrew Union College. Mr. Broidy is also a founding member of California-Israel Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Governors. This is a special organization that encourages investment in and promotes trade with Israel.

From the year 1982 through 1991, Elliot Broidy has served as Bell Enterprises’s Managing Director, another private investment entity. For this position, he has been involved in an extensive plethora of investments that include managing real estate, marketable securities, private equity as well as other alternative kinds of investments. It was in Arthur Andersen & Co. where his career has officially started and if these affiliations are not enough, he also happens to be a Certified Public Accountant. 

In the month of February in 2008, their 10th Anniversary Gala Benefit was sponsored by the Gateways Organization held in Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York. As a part of the benefit, Gateways was able to bring together Benyamin Netanhayu along with several major international business and political leaders. They all joined together with the United States’ Raoul Wallenberg Committee in giving the Raoul Wallenberg Award to Elliot Broidy as recognition for being a esteemed philanthropist and investor. 

During the presentation of the aware, Wallenberg Committee has specifically cited his continuous commitment to various educational organizations and the Jewish community both in Israel and domestically, combined with his work in creating the biggest private equity fund in Israel with the aim of giving more strength to the low tech and traditional sectors in the economy of Israel. 

Without a doubt, Elliot Broidy is truly a man who has helped a lot in changing the lives of many people.
